Manage Your Brand’s Personality In the Digital Age |

SAY CHEESE

Instagram is truly your ally, because office pictures for social display are one of the best ways to visually depict your company’s inner story.  Snap a candid of a co-worker deep in thought, or of a zany post-it note on the office fridge, but be sure to keep those clever pics coming!  Pictures of co-workers in various stages of work, creativity, and life build a narrative about the brand’s culture, story, and willingness to connect with the public.  A private company with a secret workforce, secret offices, and stoic communications style will likely be perceived as cold, uncaring, untouchable, unapproachable, and cut-off.  Build your brand’s personality through warm visuals, witty captions, and a sense of humor, and attract curious, loyal fans in doing so.

And ACTION!

Social communities love video content messaging, so use this as your brand’s opportunity to deliver short but relevant information describing your services.  Video and graphic montages that are no more than 90 seconds in length are really effective in propagating the brand’s capabilities, knowledge and aptitude.  Use this channel as a means to promote the company’s expertise in a new innovative area, or simply to showcase the company’s latest project(s).  As a simple time effective option, I really like Prezi as a visual narration tool, with its zooming effects and engaging storytelling capabilities.

MUSICAL CHAIRS

Each member of the team has his/her own musical style and appreciation, and thus can display their creative music selections through weekly playlist building for social display.  Via social apps such as Spotify or turntable.fm, team members can singularly contribute a song to build and publish a collective office playlist, or members can take turns creating their own list for periodic publishing.  This collective effort reveals the company’s trendy nature and gives the brand’s personality a hip vibe.

PARTY!

Ok not literally, but honor and celebrate company benchmarks, new account acquisitions, new strategic partnerships, goals realized, etc.  And don’t be afraid to socially exhibit your happyness (yes, I meant to spell it like that) about your success!  Share with your followers, friends, and fans good news and happenings, and don’t be too shy to gloat.  Who better to promote you but you?  So vamos!

Thanks for your post. I also think laptop computers have become more and more popular these days, and now tend to be the only kind of computer utilized in a household. The reason is that at the same time potentially they are becoming more and more very affordable, their computing power is growing to the point where they may be as strong as pc’s out of just a few years ago.
